Adaptive Bikes

Every adaptive bicycle we build is designed for mobility, therapy, recreation, fun and freedom! Our adaptive bikes are built through the feedback we receive from parents, riders, consumers and therapists in the medical industry. Each Freedom Concepts model is thoughtfully designed to accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Angelman Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, and visual impairment. Any bike can be further customized and adjusted to the exact specifications and unique requirements of the rider, ensuring that each Freedom Concepts bike is a perfect fit.

Series

Discovery

The Discovery Series allows a variety of people to gain independence and increase their mobility, from those with simple balance problems, to those with more-involved cases of cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, head injury, muscular dystrophy, autism, and dwarfism.

Adventurer

Typically for riders ages 14 and up, the Adventurer Series provides an added dimension of support and comfort for a more mature rider. Each model in the Adventurer Series features our walk-through design which minimizes obstacles for transferring on and off of the bike.

Odyssey Semi Recumbent

Our Odyssey Series showcases just how adjustable our bikes can be. The improved seating system on the ASR 2011 combines over 7” of forward and backward movement with an adjustable 10° tilt range, allowing riders with an inseam range of anywhere between 19” and 34” to comfortably ride the bike.

Excursion Series - Tandem

Our bike built for two! The ET2611 Tandem features Cable-Actuated Rear Steering, which allows the driver to make precise maneuvers and accurate turns. The front rider, whether visually or physically challenged, can still enjoy all the benefits of cycling, including reciprocal movement of the legs and a fresh breeze in their face. Not only is this model twice the fun, but it’s also twice the fitness!

Handcycles

Upright and recumbent handcycles designed for people with Spina Bifida and people with spinal cord injuries.
