Help a Child Find their FREEDOM

Every child deserves the joy and freedom that comes from learning how to ride a bike. It’s truly a rite of passage and a memorable part of childhood for many.

Raising Funds For Adaptive Bikes

The Dream Bike Sponsorship Program was created out of a need to get more adaptive bikes funded. Unfortunately, many government programs don’t cover this type of equipment and many families can’t afford the cost of an adaptive bike.

That’s why we’re looking for people, brands and organizations to help sponsor a child’s dream bike.

The Dream Bike Program connects businesses to not-for-profit organizations to help fund adaptive bikes for children. These bikes are tailor-made to the unique abilities of each rider to help improve mobility and overall development.

Why sponsor a child’s dream bike:

Community Involvement

Gifting a child an adaptive bike is not only granting them access to an additional therapy tool that can improve their quality of life, but it also helps them experience a rite of passage that all children so deserve to experience: Learning how to ride a bike.

It’s truly a joyful experience to see a community come together to cheer a child on as they ride their adaptive bike for the first time.

Rally Your Team

Get creative with your team and come up with a fun way to raise funds for the Dream Bike Program.

Creating a cycling competition, selling baked goods at lunch or bringing your team together to complete the bike build are just a few examples of past Dream Bike Program corporate team building activities.

It’s a creative and unique way to bring your team together and promote teamwork all while creating positive change within the community and ultimately gifting an adaptive bike to a child.

Donation Recognition

Each bike corporately funded through the Dream Bike Program can feature the company’s logo or brand colors. It’s a great form of advertising and a way to show further commitment to engaging with your community.

The program works with many local charities and foundations to coordinate the Dream Bike Program’s adaptive bike donations. Your company will also receive a 501(c)(3) donation receipt for your generous contribution.

What are adaptive bikes?

Learning to ride a bike may never have been considered an option for many children with physical needs or challenges. Adaptive tricycles make riding a bike a possible reality.

Children with physical disabilities arising from genetic or neurological conditions like cerebral palsy most often have functional limitations and low levels of cardiorespiratory fitness that negatively impact independent mobility. These conditions can make it difficult for caregivers and therapists to provide therapeutic benefits that are meaningful and enjoyable. Clinical research supports the fact that adaptive tricycles offer ways of ‘working’ on these areas and making a true change.

An adaptive tricycle is one that can be uniquely customized to accommodate physical challenges allowing the rider to be supported and pedal if possible. Not only do these children get to experience the joy of riding a bike, but they also get therapeutic benefits from biking.
