The AS2000 is an upright adaptive tricycle for riders ages 14 and up. This bike provides plenty of adjustability to allow riders to grow with it for years to come.

  • Independently adjustable hoop handlebars with telescopic posts. 
  • Locked or unlocked handlebar positioning to limit or control the rider’s ability to steer the bike.  
  • Direct drive gearing with easy pedal power to encourage reciprocal motion of the legs. Upgrade to the On/Off Pin Reciprocator to allow for direct drive or freewheel drive systems.   
  • Standard mountain footplates with additional available upgraded footplate options.  
  • Standard chainguard to provide protection from the chain. 
  • Comes with two brake levers and multiple options available for brake positioning. 
  • Supportive Low-Back seating system with multiple options to add High-Back seating, lateral supports, adjustable tilt fork, harnesses or head supports. 
  • Standard bike essentials including safety flag, wheel reflectors, bell and multi-tool.
  • Speed Dampener option is available to give the caregiver greater control over the maximum speed of the bike.
  • Option to add an electric assist. This motor can be enabled at any time, giving the rider a little extra help riding up hills or allowing for a  period of rest during longer rides.
  • Multiple accessory options to further customize the bike to the rider’s needs.

Tai Ann’s Freedom

Despite having approximately 30 surgeries in her 16 years, including bilateral hip surgery, bilateral distal femoral surgery, and two heart surgeries, Tai Ann Wright is upbeat, forgiving, level-headed and optimistic.

“The glass is always half full for her,” Tai Ann’s mother Valerie said. “I said to her once ‘My goodness Tai, I’ve seen adults who don’t handle things the way you handle them, is it because you don’t care?’ and she said ‘No I do care, there are just other things to worry about. I’ll be fine.’.”
